25 | On 3/12/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Olivia Meza and Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Martha Malane conducted an Annual Inspection. The Director, Cassandra Marquez led (LPA) Meza and (LPM) Malane on a tour of the inside and outside of the facility. There were 30 children and seven (7) Staff. Facility hours are 9:00am to 12:00pm and a “Lunch Bunch” at 12:00 to 1:30pm.
A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on 3/12/2025 indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
During the inspection of the indoor activity space, items which could pose a danger to children (detergents, cleaning compounds, and medications) were observed to be stored out of the reach of children. There are no poisons or hazardous Items observed. The Director, Cassandra Marquez stated that the facility does not provide food to children and that the children bring their snacks and lunch from home. Floors, equipment, and furniture were clean and observed to be in good repair and free of sharp edges.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. LPA verified lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. Drinking water is available to children indoors by refillable water bottles brought from home and refilled using Brita water pitcher provided by the Child Care Center.
