During the course of investigation, LPA toured the facility, conducted interviews, reviewed files and conducted classroom observations.
Regarding allegation (1) Staff force fed a child in care. LPA interviewed staff members. Staff members stated they have not witnessed staff force feed a child in care.
Regarding allegation (2) Director yelled at staff in the presence of day-care children. LPA interviewed staff members. Staff members stated they have not witnessed Director yell at staff in the presence of day-care children.
LPA Duron interviewed 4 children. The 4 children interviewed made no disclosures regarding the above allegations.
LPA Duron interviewed 4 parents. All interviewed parents stated they did not have any concern with facility regarding the above allegations.
Based on interviews and record review, there is insufficient evidence to corroborate the allegations: Staff force fed a child in care. Director yelled at staff in the presence of day-care children. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the allegations did or did not occur in the day care facility, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative, Princy De Silva.
