25 | On July 13 of 2023 at 1:14 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) A. Silva conducted a Case Management – Other visit. Census at the time of inspection was 29 preschool clienst. The facility was operating within its licensed capacity and within compliance of staff to child ratios. An on-site Facility Personnel Report Summary review on this date indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
Upon arrival, LPA had a LanguageLink Korean interpreter in the line to help with translation. Director Soon Ja Choi was informed that the purpose of the visit was to review the amended report and to review staff file.
The report was reviewed with Director Choi and Office Assistant Eun Choi. The Korean interpreter helped during the review of the report. Eun Choi also assisted with translation during the visit.
The amended report was signed and the amended pages printed. The LPA obtained copies of staff files for review at a later time.
Appeal Rights were discussed. The facility representative was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. All appeals must be in writing and received by the Regional Office within 15 business days. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted and this report was reviewed with licensee Soon Ja Choi and Office Assistant Eun Choi. The LPA offered to call a Korean interpreter from LanguageLink. Director Choi opted to have Eun Choi translate for her during the exit interview.
