25 | On 6/27/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) A. Silva conducted an unannounced Case Management – Legal/Noncompliance inspection assisted by Director Soon Ja Choi. The director was informed of the visit’s purpose and a tour was completed. The census was 31 children. The facility was operating within teacher-child ratios and licensed capacity. An on-site Facility Personnel Report Summary review indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Korean Interpreter ID 16422111 helped with interpretation during the visit.
Upon arrival the LPA observed children in classrooms 1, 2, and 3 engaged in different activities including studying the alphabet and arts and crafts. During the visit, the LPA reviewed the procedures agreed upon durin the NCC in 10/10/2023. The LPA confirmed the children’s roster was up to date. Five staff files were reviewed; the LPA confirmed that each file contained a Teacher Qualifications & Teacher Aide Qualifications Checklist and that all required forms were present. A new teacher’s qualifications were reviewed and confirmed to be complete. Each of the staff files reviewed contained an updated Mandated Reporter Certificate and at least one staff present had a current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate.
