During the investigation LPA Lucero interviewed 2 staff, 2 parents, and 8 children.
During staff interviews, staff denied children playing outside in the street. Staff stated day care children play outside in the backyard which is fenced. Staff #1 (S1) stated the only children who play outside in the street are their own grandchildren and it is during the weekends, not during day care hours.
LPA interviewed 8 children, 8 out of 8 children denied ever playing outside in the street. Children stated they only play outside in the backyard.
LPA interviewed 2 parents. Parents interviewed made no disclosures.
Based on LPA’s interviews, it has been determined there was insufficient evidence the licensee does not provide adequate supervision to children in care. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee Maria Ortega. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
