32 | Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children were stored inaccessible to children.
Off Limit areas: Licensee has designated two bedrooms, one bathrooms , kitchen, laundry room, front yard, and garage, on the first level as the off-limit areas and also the entire second level as the off-limit area. The Licensee has placed a child safety gate at the bottom of the stairs leading to the second floor, ensuring the stairs are inaccessible to children in care. The off-limit bedrooms on the first level have locks on the doorknobs, the laundry room is located next to the kitchen, in which, there is a safety gate at the kitchen entrance, making these area inaccessible to children in care. Licensee has placed a safety gate at the hallway entrance leading to one of the off-limit bedrooms. Licensee does acknowledged the children may never enter the off-limit areas.
Designated Day care area: Licensee continues to use the designated areas on the first level of the home for Day care activities, living room, dining room, one bathroom (located downstairs), office, and back yard (play area fenced), as part of the day-care.) The children shall enter through the left side door of the home leading to the backyard area. Each room has age appropriate furniture along with educational and play activities for children.
Dining area is the main activity area, where age appropriate activities are held. The living area also has age appropriate activities for Infants. Toddlers and Preschool age children nap in the dining area using cots. Linens are provided by the Licensee and blankets are brought from home, washed on a weekly basis by the parents. Dining activities are held on the small dining table. Infants/ Toddlers use high chairs which are arranged surrounding the dining table.
Infant care area was observed to have napping items, including changing table / high chairs, Infant items: diapers / wipes/ lotions and milk are provided by the parents. Mother's milk shall be labeled and stored appropriately. Per Licensee and the assistant the infants are not left unattended while they are sleeping in the living area and ongoing supervision is provided to all the children in care.
Licensee provides Breakfast, PM snacks, lunch if food is brought from home and these containers shall be labelled with their names by the parents and stored accordingly. Licensee serves home cooked food to the enrolled children. (2)
