On 6/26/2025, the Orange County Regional Child Care Licensing Office received a complaint with one allegation listed above: Reporting Party (RP) alleged that adult in home sexually abused day care child.
On 7/1/2025, LPAs D. Thompson and A. Castro made an unannounced visit to the facility and interviewed the licensee. Licensee provided LPAs with documents pertinent to the investigation.
On 8/15/2025, LPAs S. Jung and K. Trinh made an unannounced visit to the facility and interviewed three (3) adults including the licensee. Children present could not be interviewed due to their age and verbal development. All adults interviewed stated that the licensee (A1) was the main caretaker for the day care children and Adult 4 (A4) provides some assistance with cooking for the children, supervising the children, and picking up school-aged children who attend only in the afternoons. According to all interviewees, Adult 2 (A2) does not assist with the day care and stays in the garage or bedroom, while Adult 3 (A3) provides minimal assistance in day care if A1 needs help. Licensee (A1) provided LPAs with children’s roster and additional documents for investigative review.
On 8/26/2025, LPAs interviewed two (2) additional children who were qualified by LPA Jung. Children interviewed did not divulge any information pertaining to the allegation. Parents interviewed also did not provide any concern regarding the allegation.
The Orange County Regional Child Care Licensing Office has investigated the complaint alleging that adult in home sexually abused day care child: although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there was not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
No deficiencies cited. Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
