32 | Based on the Facility Sketch submitted, areas off limits to children and parents are: Applicant has designated the two bedrooms, one bathroom, laundry room and kitchen as off limit areas. All the doors of the bathroom, laundry room and bedrooms have door stoppers installed on the door handles, making them inaccessible to children. Kitchen entrance has been made inaccessible by means of a child safety gate installed at the entrance, including all the cabinets have child safety locks installed making the entire kitchen child proof.
During the Pre-licensing inspection, LPA observed the designated off limits areas were closed and locked.
The applicant shall use the Cell phone for Day care activities and applicant was informed if a cell phone is used for child care, it must remain on the premises at all times during hours of operation.
Applicant was informed and understands the home is to be free from smoking during hours of operation.
Applicant understands that licensing staff may have access to off-limit areas during inspection visit if necessary.
Areas Designated for Day care activities: Applicant has designated the living/ dining area, Master bedroom for infant care only along with one full bathroom for indoor day care activities. Being a mobile home, applicant doesn't have any open yard for outdoor activities.
The children shall enter through the main front door of the home leading to the open living room the designated for Day care activities. This room has age appropriate furniture along with educational and play activities for children. Master bedroom shall be used only when Infants are taking their naps all other activities are to be held in the Living/ dining area only. Older infants, Toddlers and Preschool age children shall nap on Cots, linens and blankets shall be brought from home, washed on a weekly basis by the parents. Dining activities shall be held on the day care area, where applicant has placed an age appropriate table and chairs for the toddlers and preschool age children. Infants shall use high chairs which are arranged surrounding the dining table. Applicant provides home cooked food to the enrolled children.
Day care area (Family room) was observed to have napping items, applicant has infants items including changing mat/ high chair, Infant items: diapers / wipes/ lotions and milk shall be provided by the parents. Mother's milk shall be labeled and stored appropriately. Per applicant infants shall not be left unattended while they are sleeping. (2)
