32 | Areas Designated for Day Care Activities: Licensee has designated the living/ dining area, Master bedroom for infant care only along with one full bathroom for indoor day care activities. Being a mobile home, applicant doesn't have any open backyard for outdoor activities. The licensee uses the front porch for outdoor activities that has a metal small metal fenced.
The children shall enter through the main front door of the home leading to the open living room the designated for Day care activities. This room has age-appropriate furniture along with educational and play activities for children. Master bedroom is used only when Infants are taking their naps all other activities are held in the living/ dining area only. Toddlers and Preschool age children nap on cots. Licensee provides home cooked food to the children enrolled.
Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children were stored inaccessible to children. Poisons and Hazardous items were not observed. There are no bodies of water. The toys are age appropriate and in good condition for the potential ages served. Baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items will not be used for children in care. Licensee stated there are no weapons or firearms on the premises. When firearms are present, they must be locked and stored separately from the ammunition.
During today's inspection, the smoke detector and carbon monoxide were operable, and the fire extinguisher was charged. Last fire/disaster drill was conducted 4/11/2024.
Licensee’s Mandated Reporter certification expires 2/7/2026. Licensee has a current Pediatric First Aid CPR that is EMAS approved and expires on 2/10/2026.
The licensee has a current roster of children in care. During this inspection, LPA reviewed five children’s records and they were in compliance.
