Based on the Facility Sketch submitted, areas off limits to children and parents are: Applicant has designated 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, portion of backyard, and laundry room, as the off-limit areas. Applicant has placed child proof safety knobs on the bedroom doors and the bathroom door, ensuring the areas are inaccessible to the children in care. Applicant has a lock on the laundry door. There is a gate separating the off-limit portion of the backyard.
Applicant understands that licensing staff may have access to off-limit areas during inspection visit if necessary.
Areas Designated for Day care activities: Applicant has designated the 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, as the day care areas.
Upon arrival applicant will receive the children at the front door, to gain access to the home.
The designated Child Care areas were observed to have age-appropriate toys and educational items.
Children and infants will nap, in the living room, and mats and cribs shall be used. Applicant stated parents will provide wipes, lotions, diapers, and formula for the infants. Applicant stated infants will be changed on a mat on the floor. LPA advised applicant, when changing infants to always supervise the infants visually. Applicant stated parents will provide the linen and blankets for the preschool children.
Applicant stated parents will provide food for the children. Applicant was informed if children bring food from home to ensure the children’s name is on their lunch bag and refrigerated properly.
Per applicant, upon arrival children’s temperature will be taken, hands shall be sanitized, and the children shall be guided into the designated day care areas.
COVID-19 guidelines and precautions were discussed with the applicant.
The children’s bathroom is located in one of the bedrooms and was observed to be safe and free of hazardous items. Applicant has a small step tool for children in the bathroom.
Per applicant, there are no animals in the home.
THERE IS OUTDOOR PLAY AREA: Outdoor play activities will be conducted in a small portion of the backyard, was appropriately fenced. There is a fishpond, located in a portion of the backyard that is fenced; however, applicant did not have a fence immediately around the fishpond..
