Based on the Facility Sketch submitted, areas off limits to children and parents are: Applicant has designated the three bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, dining room, front yard, and garage, as the off-limit areas. Applicant has placed child proof gates at both entrances of the kitchen, ensuring the areas are inaccessible to the children in care. Applicant has place child proof latches on the doorknobs of the bedrooms, ensuring the areas are inaccessible to the children in care. There is a child proof safety knob on the doorknob of the garage, making this area inaccessible to the children in care.
Applicant understands that licensing staff may have access to off-limit areas during inspection visit if necessary.
Areas Designated for Day care activities: Applicant has designated the living room, one bedroom, one-bathroom, and backyard, as the day care areas.
Upon arrival applicant will receive the children at the front door, to gain access to the home.
The designated Child Care areas were observed to have age-appropriate toys and educational items. Children will nap in a bedroom, and cots shall be used for preschool children and cribs and play yard shall be used for infants. Per applicant, parents will provide linen and blankets for the children. Per applicant, parents will provide diapers and lotion, and she will provide wipes for the infants. Per applicant, she will use a changing table for the infant. LPA advised applicant that while changing an infant’s diaper to visually observe the infant, to ensure the infant is safe.
Per applicant, upon arrival children’s temperature will be taken, hands shall be sanitized, and the children shall be guided into the designated day care areas.
COVID-19 guidelines and precautions were discussed with the applicant.
Children’s bathroom is located in the hallway and was observed to be safe and free of hazardous items. Applicant has a small step tool for children in the bathroom.
Per Applicant, there are no animals in the home; however, there is a small fish tank, located in the kitchen, which is the off limited area.
THERE IS OUTDOOR PLAY AREA: Outdoor play activities will be conducted in the backyard, which is appropriately fenced. LPA observed play equipment to be safe and free from hazards. There are no bodies of water.
