The licensee stated that there are no firearms and/or other dangerous weapons in the facility; none were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items that could pose a danger if readily available were inaccessible to children in care. No poisons or other items that could pose a danger to children were observed during the inspection. Children nap on cushion mats. According to the licensee, beddings are stored individually and washed. The facility provides age-appropriate toys, play equipment, and materials for the children being served.
The licensee provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks to the children. At the time of inspection, food prep areas were clean and sanitary, and food was properly stored. Drinking water is available to children in care. Bottles are labeled with children’s names. The LPA observed that the facility’s floors, equipment, furniture, and children bathrooms were clean and in good repair.
The backyard was enclosed by a fence. The outdoor equipment and toys were in good repair and free of sharp edges. At the time of inspection, the surface of the outdoor activity area was well-maintained and free of any observable hazards. There were no bodies of water at the facility. There is a community pool a few minutes from facility that is fenced.
The LPA reviewed 2 files for staff who were present during the inspection. The licensee’s mandated reporter expires on 4/2025 and the EMSA Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification expires 4/25. The immunization records show that the licensee has been vaccinated against influenza, pertussis, and measles.
The licensee has a current roster for children enrolled. The LPA reviewed 5 children’s files of children who were present during the inspection. All reviewed files were in compliance and included completed copies of the LIC 700, LIC282, LIC627, LIC995A, and Immunization records. The roster shows there are 2 infants enrolled in the FCCH. LPA reviewed LIC 9227 Individual Infant Sleeping Plan and 15-minute check logs for 2 infants enrolled. The infant records were in compliance.
