The Facility Personnel Report Summary reviewed indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Currently, there are two (2) adults including the licensee living in the home.
Children's records were reviewed, and there was a separate, complete, and current record for four (4) out of five (5) children. One child record did not have updated MMR immunization (See LIC 809D for deficiency cited).
LPA observed four infants from 12-24 months. However, licensee stated they did not maintain a sleep log every 15 minutes during nap time (See LIC 809D for deficiency cited).
Four (4) staff files were reviewed for staff during the home inspection on this date, 09/21/2026. Immunization as required were reviewed. Beginning September 1, 2016, Health and Safety (H&S) 1596.7995 states, a person shall not be employed or volunteer at a childcare center if he or she has not been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles. Proof of immunization against pertussis, measles for four staff were reviewed.
Licensee’s mandated reporting training expires on 2/24/27. Licensee possesses current EMSA approved Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification, which expires 2/22/27.
CCLD website www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing was provided to Licensee to access regulations, updates, and licensing forms. Licensee was advised to register through childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov in order to receive quarterly updates. Licensee was advised of their responsibility to review the Provider Information Notices (PIN) found on the CCLD website.
