An informal office meeting was conducted on 05/31/2024 at 12:00 PM. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Giselle Lucero and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Martha Malane met with Director Perla Arrieta along with Assistant Director Alma Coronado and District Manager DeAnne McCashland, for a virtual office meeting via Teams due to construction at the Orange Regional Office.

The purpose of the informal meeting was to discuss the facility’s request of increase in infant capacity:

The facility has requested an increase from 24 infants to 48 infants. Due to the facility’s history of ratio and capacity citations, the Department wants to ensure the facility is able to meet the requirements of the higher capacity.

Director stated their plan to maintain compliance is by hiring new staff to maintain ratio and for there to be enough coverage for when staff are on breaks, lunch, or last minute staff call outs. Director stated staff are instructed to call the Director before staff go over ratio. District Manager stated new hires will be fully trained prior to being in ratio in the classroom.

Director also stated she will send LPA Lucero a copy of the plan by June 4, 2024.

Exit interview conducted with Director Perla Arrieta, Assistant Director Alma Coronado and District Manager Deanne McCashland and is in agreement with the above. Appeal Rights were discussed, the facility representative was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058). All appeals must be in writing and received by the Regional Office within 15 business days.

An electronic copy of the LIC809 report was emailed to Director Perla Arrieta at 6010@TUTORTIME.COM.
