25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) P Rivas conducted an unannounced case management visit to continue the annual inspection commenced 07/13/22. LPA was met and assisted by Lynda Durand School Readiness Coordinator.
LPA and Ms. Durand conducted tour of physical plant which is an Activity Room #1. There is also a separate bathroom dedicated to this room. During today's visit there were no children in attendance. The regular program commences August 8, 2022 Hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm (3 hour sessions, 8:00-11:00 and 12 to 3:00pm). The Site is operating under Title 5 Regulations.
On 07/13/22 LPA toured the playground. Playground is located in a different location (other side of the apartment complex). Staff stated during hours operation they are the only ones who use playground. Playground is completely enclosed by 4 foot high iron fence. Outdoor activity is supplied with age and size appropriate equipment. An adequate amount of cushioning material (rubber foam mat) is in place under the climbing structure.
Classroom is adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment. Water is provided by drinking fountains.
There are no children currently enrolled. LPA viewed Ms. Durand's file since program is not in operation.
Health screening and immunization as required were reviewed. Beginning September 1, 2016, Health and Safety (H&S) 1597.622 states, a person shall not be employed or volunteer at a childcare if he or she has not been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles. Proof of immunization against pertussis, measles for staff were reviewed and within compliance. At least one staff member present possesses current CPR/First Aid certifications, which expires 09/07/2023. Beginning March 31, 2018, H&S Code 1596.8662 requires all directors and employees to complete mandated reporting training, and to renew the training every two years.
