On 7/24/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) K. Navar conducted an unannounced Case Management – other inspection assisted by Assistant Director-Crystal Lauture. The Assistant Director was informed of the visit’s purpose and a facility tour was completed. LPA then met with Director-Aimee Valentin who continued the tour. The census was 20 children and 6 staff. The facility was operating within teacher child ratios and the licensed capacity and posting requirements were met.

An on-site Facility Personnel Report Summary review indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.

Upon arrival the LPA observed classrooms identified as infants, Todd A, and Todd B. engaged in different activities including snack time. Bathrooms were observed LPA was informed that bathrooms are not used for children in care that infant program moves children up to the preschool program once potty training starts and bathrooms are used for storage.

6 staff files were reviewed; the LPA confirmed that each file contained Teacher Qualifications & Teacher Aide Qualifications and that all required forms were present. The LPA confirmed that 1 staff member is EMSA approved for Pediatric First Aid/CPR expiration date 11/2025 and 6 Child Mandated Reporter certifications were on file.

During the visit, the LPA reviewed the regulations for staffing requirements for the infnat program and ratio handout was given.
