25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mila Quinto conducted an unannounced case management inspection of the facility for the purpose of the facility decreasing their capacity from 140 to 132 preschool children (36 toddler option and 96 preschool children). LPA met with director, Lisa Parker who gave LPA a tour of the facility. They are currently licensed for 140 children: 116 preschool in rooms 2,6, 7, 8, 9 and 24 toddler option in rooms 3 &4. There were 64 children present today and 11 staff members.
A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
The facility has requested to provide care and supervision to 96 preschool children and 36 toddler option children for a total of 132 children. Hours of operation is Monday to Friday from 7am – 6pm.
Fire clearance received from Irvine County Fire Authority on 8/28/23 approving the requested capacity of decrease of 132 children (96 preschool and 36 toddler option children).
LPA inspected rooms 2,3, and 4 for the toddler option and rooms 6, 7, 8, and 9 for the preschool children. Each classroom was observed to have age-appropriate furniture and equipment. Individual storage space was available for each child within the classroom. Toys were observed to be clean and safe. There is carbon monoxide and fire extinguisher throughout the facility.
