1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Desai, Ketki conducted an unannounced Case Management Licensee initiated inspection at the above facility for the purpose of adding new Toddler option to the current Preschool License. Currently facility is licensed for 56 preschool age children, 2-6 years old in Room # 1,2 and 3 only. Facility is now requesting to add the Toddler option with a capacity of 12 (18 months – 36 months) in the new Toddler room and decreasing the Preschool capacity to 44 children ( 36 months to 6 years old) in Room # 1, 2 and 3, along with the addition of new yard space for the Preschool children only. Facility Director Ms.Perla Zavala-Benitez gave a tour of the facility including new Toddler classroom, Preschool rooms and new play yard space to be added Per the new Application received facility shall serve Preschool age children from 3-6 years old and Toddlers (18 -36 months) Operating hours for this program will be Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (full day session) and Half day session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM The following was observed in new Toddler room · Age appropriate furniture and equipment’s · Educations items (Learning and tactile activity items) · Arts and Crafts activities. · Room is well lighted with ventilation. · Drinking water is available through filtered water pitchers and personal water bottles · AM/PM snack is offered, and Lunch is brought from home, and these containers are labelled by the parents

and stored in their individual cubbies.
· Electronic sign in and out (Bright wheel application)
· CDC Guidelines are being followed.
· Toddler classroom has a changing table with a sink within the arm’s reach
· The baby toilet is in the classroom and Potty Chair is available if needed
· There is a specific preschool room # 2 where children receive Potty training
· Children shall nap on cot and lines are brought from home and Facility has additional linens if needed.

On today’s inspection facility is adding new Toddler room and the measurements are as follows

Facility has requested to add 12 Toddlers in the new room.

Outdoor space: Facility has a designated Toddler yard, it is accessed from the classroom
Toddler yard has a surrounding fence with artificial turf flooring, age appropriate toy structures are placed on this soft turf flooring to absorb any falls and shade is provided by a sailing across the yard

Facility has enough outdoor space to accommodate 12 Toddlers in the Toddler yard

Preschool: Facility is also decreasing the Preschool capacity from 56 to 44 children. Room 1 along with other rooms were remeasured again on today’s inspection. Room # 1 is divided in two section to accommodate the Toddler option and an additional outdoor space was added to the preschool component.

Facility is decreasing the Preschool capacity to 44 children.

LPA observed the following in each classroom
Classrooms are adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment.
·Drinking water is available by filtered water pitcher with cups and personal water bottles.
Classroom # 1 and 3 has a Toilet and urinal inside the classroom while Room # 2 has a baby toilet and is designated as a Toilet training classroom.
Each room has a sink and enough storage space for children and teaching staff.
Preschool age children nap on cots and linens are brought from home.

Outdoor Preschool yard: The preschool yard is accessible from each classroom; the yard has a surrounding fencing with age appropriate play structures and climbing structures placed over the sand serving as a cushion. There is enough shade provided by a tree and covered patio area. The facility is also now adding an additional space for gardening activity. There is walkway passage connecting the two play yards. The measurements for the two yards measured are as follows

After a tour of the center, no deficiency was observed.

Facility Administrator is current on the required Pediatric CPR/First Training: Valid up to 12/31/2022

LPA provided Guardian Information and website info: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/cdss-programs/community-care-licensing/caregiver-background-check/guardian Facility has access to the Guardian system.

Fire clearance has been granted by Orange County Fire Authority for a capacity of 56 children (44 Preschool and 12 Toddlers)
Based on today’s room measurements/ Outdoor space with sinks and toilets: Facility has sufficient space to accommodate the requested capacity of 44 Preschool age children (3 – 6 years) in Room # 1, 2 and 3 along with 12 Toddlers (18 months to 36 months) in the new Toddler room. Operating hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 PM.

Exit interview conducted. Notice of Site Visit was posted. Director was informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post it will result in civil penalties of $100. Appeal rights presented to the Director.
