25 | LIcensing Program Analyst (LPA) P Rivas conducted an unannounced case management visit for a decrease in capacity and to add a toddler option program. The facility is requesting to be licensed for 28 toddler option children ages 18 months to 36 months in Monkey Class and 70 preschool children ages 2 to 5 years old in Lion class, Koala class, Tiger Class (This is a change from 28 toddler option 18 mo-30 mon and preschool 2 to 6). New lic 200a was provided.
Licensee/CEO Ms. Lee indicated that measurements of 09/11/2020 are still the same , no changes have been made in terms of square footage. However, room designations have been changed as follows;
Lion class is now Monkey Class (toddler option); Koala class is now Tiger class; old Monkey class is now Koala, Tiger class is now Lion Class.
During today's visit LPA conducted a walk through of entire facility. LPA viewed total of 51 preschool children and 7 staff, all classrooms were within ratio. All staff have been fingerprint cleared and associated to facility.
Ms. Lee was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.”
Based on measurements of 09/11/20 Total indoor activity space measured 3688.94 (new Monkey room measurements were 1054.18square feet of the total). which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (98) Children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children.
