25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ketki Desai conducted an unannounced Case Management (other) inspection for a follow up to measure the new Infant and Toddler yard. LPA met with Administrator Ms. Betonte, Nina who gave the tour of the classrooms and the two yards for the Infant component.
On the former visit, conducted on 10/15/21, Infant yard needed changes to the outer surface making it safe for infants to be present in the yard.
On today’s inspection, LPA observed the outer surface on the Infant yard has been modified with the installation of artificial grass and square grey mats covering the open hard ground areas. The yard is completely fenced, and shade is provided by a natural tree, green awing sail and patio is also fully covered , with all three items, it provides sufficient shade to the infant yard.
On today’s inspection, the new Infant yard, located in front of the Infant classroom # 5 was measured, with following measurements
AREA IDENTIFICATION | | LENGTH | WIDTH | AREA | ENCUMBERED | SPACE |
New Infant yard | 48.33 | 22 | 1063.26 | | 1063.26 |
Total outdoor space = 1063’26 Sq. ft divided by 75= 14’18 (14 infants)
The facility has enough outdoor space to accommodate 14 infants in the new yard located outside Room # 5.
