25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Pat Rivas, Mila Quinto and Crystal Green conducted an announced Case Management Licensee initiated inspection at the above facility for the purpose of increasing the preschool capacity from 24 children to 46 children by adding one new room (Room2) to the existing license. LPAs met with director, Fazreen Shariff who gave LPAs a tour of the facility.
LPA observed 20 preschool age children with two staff members, providing care and supervision to the children in Rooms 1 . Currently facility is licensed for 24 preschool children, in room 1. Facility is operating within it's licensed capacity. LPAs inspected classroom1 and observed age appropriate furniture and equipment. Individual storage space was available for each child within the classroom. Toys were observed to be clean and safe . Smoke detectors and fire extinguishers were located throughout the facility. LPAs observed children to have access to water via water bottles. LPAs inspected two toilets and two sinks currently accessible to children in classroom 1. They were observed to be in good conditions.
LPAs inspected classroom #2 and the following was observed in the classroom. Classroom is adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment. Drinking water will be available inside through personalized water bottles, pitcher and Dixie cups. Sign in/Sign out procedure will remain the same. Facility has in-built smoke detectors & carbon monoxide detector. Cubbies available for storage of individual child’s personal belongings. Napping equipment: Children in this program will nap on cots, beddings and blankets will be provided by the parents and washed weekly. Additional sheets are available if needed. Facility has a full day and part day program. The parents provide AM/PM snacks and lunch to children.
