25 | On 06/03/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deschampe conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction inspection to follow up on the Type A deficiency issued on 05/18/2026. At 9:15AM, LPA was allowed entry to the facility by the Facility Representative/director (FR), Barbara Brown and explained the purpose of the visit. Total census was 69 children with 17 staff. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date, 06/03/2026 indicates all facility staff and other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
California Code of Regulations (CCR) Section 101429 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision for Infants (a) In addition to Section 101229, the following shall apply: (1) Each infant shall be constantly supervised and under direct visual observation and supervision by a staff person at all times. LPA confirmed the child care center has corrected the violation, per FR. On 04/23/2026, the FR trained all staff on transitioning protocol (including the use of buggies or walking rope), re-trained on completing proper steps on the Child Supervision Record (CSR) document (census taken at thresholds, designated times throughout the day, management checks CSR at least 2 times per day), re-train staff to consistently complete mental counts, and active supervision of where staff should be (indoor, outdoor, and transitions). Based on LPA's observations, interviews, and records reviewed during this visit, the violation which was cited on 05/18/2026, is cleared.
The exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative, Barbara Brown. The notice of site visit was given and posted during the inspection. The “Notice of Site Visit” must be posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door to the facility. Facility representative was reminded that the notice of site visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. End of Report.
