Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joseph Alejandre made an unannounced visit to begin the investigation into the allegation listed above. LPA met with Administrator Marjan Arastoo and explained the reason for the visit. The investigation into the allegation revealed the following. On August 5, 2023 around 2:30 am. Client 1 (C1) and Client 2 (C2) had an altercation. Staff 1 reported that 2 people had attempted to enter the facility and Staff 1 asked them to leave. At this time C1 came downstairs to go to the outside patio. C2 was already outside in the patio. Staff 1 reported that C1 and C2 had started shouting at each other but didn't know why. Staff 1 reported that they asked both clients to stop shouting and to separate. Staff 1 reported they tried to redirect both clients but C1 and C2 ignored them. C1 and C2 began pushing and grabbing each other. Staff 1 told the clients to stop and called the police. C1 and C2 stopped fighting and the police arrived. The police talked to C1 and C2 and advised them to stay away from each other and took no action. C1 and C2 verified this information. C1 reported that C2 started the altercation. C2 reported that C1 started the altercation. It is unclear what started the altercation between C1 and C2. Staff 1 attempted to redirect both clients and both clients stopped fighting once the police were called. Neither client was injured.
