25 | Licensing Program Manager Alisa Ortiz, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kimberly Lyman along with Orange County Public Health Medical Director Helene Calvet and nurses Larry Bottoroff and Parminder Grewal made an unannounced health and safety visit to follow up on covid-19 precautions in the facility. LPM and LPA were greeted and granted entry by Administrator Ana Kunz and explained the reason for the visit.
During the visit, LPA and LPM toured the facility along with Public Health team as well as reviewed eight files. LPM and LPA/ Public Health observed the inside and outside of the facility and observed resident isolation rooms. There are currently six positive residents out of the facility and two in isolation at the facility pending test results. Medical Director provided health and safety mitigation measures to Administrator regarding managing covid-19 as well prevention/ precautions. Suggestions made included how to set up a covid red zone, maintaining a supply of PPE outside isolation rooms, increasing sanitizing to three times a day as well as purchasing pulse oximeters to monitor oxygenation of residents. Resident files reviewed contained all required documentation. Facility conducted mass testing on 01/28/2021 and is currently awaiting results. Facility received the first round of Pfizer vaccinations on 01/24/2021 and second round is scheduled for 02/14/2021
An exit interview was conducted with Administrator.
