Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joseph Alejandre made an unannounced visit to deliver the findings of the complaint investigation for the allegation listed above. LPA met with Executive Director Christine Chon and explained the reason for the visit. The investigation into the allegation, residents are not treated equal, revealed the following. It was alleged that non-Asian residents were being neglected and not being provided care as required by each resident. It was alleged that Asian residents were getting preferential treatment in regards to facility amenities. LPA interviewed facility staff and the Executive Director. The only amenities available are the activities open to all residents, the activity room which is open to all residents, and the TV room which is open to all residents. All rooms have their own restroom and heating and air conditioning. The dining room is open to all residents and residents can order food that is not on the daily menu. All of the witnesses interviewed reported all facility amenities are available to all residents. None of the witnesses interviewed reported any unequal treatment by the staff toward residents. LPA interviewed 10 residents and 9 staff. None of the witnesses interviewed corroborated the allegation.
