25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ruth Martinez conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a required annual inspection visit. LPA was greeted at the door by caregiver and granted entry. LPA met with Michelle Nesbitt, Compliance Manager and explained the nature of the visit. Upon entry LPA was screened by temperature check and log in process.
LPA immediately began the tour of the facility. The facility currently has 6 residents in care. LPA observed 5 residents in living room having activity time. There was 1 resident in backyard with caregiver having activity. All residents appeared well taken care of. Facility was observed to be clean in all areas inspected. Facility staff screens all visitors to the facility upon entry, there is a check in station in the entry of the facility. Residents and staff are screen on a daily basis as well. Facility keeps covid documentation binder for all staff and residents. At 1:56pm LPA tested the hot water temperature in bathrooms used by residents. The hot water temperature was measured at 107.6 Fahrenheit degrees. LPA observed there are covid postings for precaution through out the facility. Facility has all required Department postings through out the facility. Facility has a continuous covid-19 prevention plan in place in order to maintain the safety of all residents and staff. LPA observed there is ample supply of food and water in the facility. First aid kits were observed to be locked in the medication cabinet. Medication was reviewed and found to be in compliance with regulation, locked and inaccessible to residents in care. LPA observed facility has PPE, incontinence and cleaning supplies stored in attached garage. Facility has ample supply of sanitation precaution in place throughout the facility. LPA toured the outside space and observed there is 2 shaded areas for residents’ enjoyment. Area are used by visitors as well. LPA observed facility has sanitation stations outside as well. Facility has a plan for covid testing and isolation for residents and staff as needed. Facility has 4 private bedrooms and 1 shared bedroom for residents.
Based on the observations made during this inspection, no deficiencies were noted today per Title 22 Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations.
