25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Albert Marin and Jerome Haley made an unannounced required annual inspection in this facility. LPAs met with Director Courtni English and Administrator Candice Strauss and stated the purpose of this visit.
The facility is a two-level structure and licensed for 150 ambulatory clients.
About 9:00 AM , LPAs Marin and Haley were granted entry after completing the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID 19) screening procedure. For this visit, 71 clients in care and 21 staff members on the floor. LPAs toured the interior and exterior portions of the facility. On the ground floor, there were six activities rooms. Rooms were provided with furniture in good repair, appropriate activity materials and kept free of tripping hazards. Two common bathrooms had water fixture in good repair and provided with grab bars and adequate liquid soap and paper products. Hot water was measured at 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Common areas were provided with adequate furniture in good repair. Gym area was provided with appropriate equipment and supervised by staff members. Break room had adequate storage space for clients in care and small kitchen appliances in working conditions. Cleaning supplies were kept in a locked room. The upper level was accessed via two stair wells. The second floor held the offices. Common areas were kept free of tripping hazards. Fire alarm system was inspected last July 26, 2021 by a private company. LPAs observed sprinklers in place in each room. Fire extinguishers were charged and mounted in common areas. For the exterior portion, facility grounds were free of tripping hazards. LPA Marin reviewed the COVID 19 mitigation plan of the facility.
For this visit, the facility was observed to be in substantial compliance with Title 22 Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations.
LPAs Marin and Haley conducted an exit interview with Director English and Administrator Strauss and copy of this report was left in the facility. |
