operational, with an adequate supply of perishable and nonperishable food. Sharp objects were stored securely, and cleaning products and other toxic substances were kept locked in a cabinet in the dining area. Fire extinguishers were fully charged and readily accessible. LPA verified that the most recent emergency disaster drill was conducted on June 1, 2026.
Outdoor areas were also inspected and found to be safe, clean, and well maintained. Shaded seating areas were available for client use. The backyard gate was self-latching and functioning properly. Emergency food, water, and disaster supplies were available and appropriately stored.
During the inspection, LPA Tea observed the client returning from a day program, eating snacks, resting, and watching the musical Hamilton on television. The facility provides activities based on each client's interests and preferences, including puzzles, coloring, educational games, walks in the community and local parks, shopping trips, dining outings, and other community-based activities.
LPA Tea reviewed medication storage and administration practices. Medications were stored in a locked cabinet and administered according to physician orders. Personal and Incidental (P&I) funds were reviewed and found to be maintained in compliance with department requirements. LPA Tea also conducted interviews with the client and staff regarding the quality of care and services provided at the facility.
Based on observations, interviews, and records reviewed during today's inspection, no deficiencies were cited in the areas evaluated. The facility was found to be in compliance with applicable sections of Title 22, Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations.
An exit interview was conducted with Administrator Ronald Almuete. Copies of LIC809, LIC809-C, LIC858, and LIC859 were provided to the facility.
