13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with Facility Representative Carol Williams in order to conduct a complaint investigation. Upon arrival, LPA observed 28 infants supervised by nine staff in four separate classrooms. It was alleged that the staff did not prevent the spread of a communicable disease. During the investigation LPA conducted interviews with staff.
It was determined that there were potential cases of pink eye at the facility, however two cases were not confirmed. Potential and confirmed cases were told to receive a doctor’s note and not return before 24 hours with prescribed eye drops. Evidence suggests that the rooms were sanitized and cleaned.
The preponderance of evidence standard has not been met, and the allegation can neither be confirmed nor dismissed, therefore, the allegations are determined to be unsubstantiated.
No Title 22 deficiencies were issued as a result of the investigation. LPA reviewed this report with facility representative Carol Williams. A Notice of Site Visit was proved that must remain posted for 30 days.
