25 | Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Arianna Manabat met with Director Natasa Zivkovic for the purpose of a case management - licensee initiated inspection. The Applicant is requesting to decrease their capacity from 104 preschool children to 92 preschoolers with a toddler option. The request is a capacity of 76 preschoolers ages two years to entry into first grade and 16 toddler option children ages 18-36 months. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fire clearance was granted and received on 8/15/2024.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
The new configuration of classrooms will be as follows:
Rooms 113, 114, 116, 119, and 121 will be designated to the preschool license. During today's visit, LPA Manabat measured a total of 3,586.27 sqft. which will accommodate the requested capacity of 92 children. During today's visit, LPA Manabat observed a total of eight sinks and eight toilets available for use. LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, cubbies, and napping cots.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are two outdoor areas on the property. The infant outdoor area is directly connected to the Merryhill building. The preschool yard is located closer to the parking lot and can be accessed by walking through the infant yard. The Director is aware that the preschool outdoor yard measures for 3,239.08 square feet and will not accommodate the requested capacity of 92 preschoolers. LPA Manabat stated that the applicant would need to submit a waiver request for insufficient outdoor space.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director.
The following items are required before a license will be issued:
1. Final file review from Licensing Program Manager (LPM).
2. Pending two insufficient outdoor waiver requests; one for preschool and one for the infant component. |
