Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with facility representative Michelle Wise to deliver findings for a complaint investigation. LPA observed 57 children supervised by 10 staff.

The following was alleged: Day care children were left alone with an adult not qualified to provide supervision. It was alleged that children were not supervised by qualified staff from the facility while they were taking pictures during recent picture days in March.

During the investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff from the facility and from the photography company. Although it was stated that staff from the photography company have criminal record clearance, there was no evidence to prove that they have the required qualifications for a teacher, nor are they associated to the facility. Evidence suggests that there were times when children were left under the supervision of these staff without a qualified staff from the facility.

The preponderance of evidence standard has been met; therefore, the allegation is determined to be SUBSTANTIATED.

A Title 22 deficiency is cited on the 9099-D page of this report. If not corrected, this deficiency is considered a potential threat to the health and safety of children and care. Appeal Rights were provided. An exit interview was conducted with licensing representative Michelle Wise. A Notice of Site Visit was posted and shall remain posted for 30 days.
