On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Lea Habtom met with Site Supervisor Kristina Fiffick, for the purpose of a case management inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed a census of 4 Transitional Kindergarten children being supervised by 3 staff and the Site Supervisor in POD K. The program is located on Carlin C. Coppin Elementary School. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained criminal record clearance to the STAR Oakhills #313600444.

The facility is requesting to add the library and remove POD E keeping the capacity at 60. The Site Supervisor stated bins will be used for children's belongs which are currently in storage. The Site Supervisor stated the bins will be in the library by September 4, 2024. The school age children utilize the bathrooms and the school playground on campus. Measurements were not taken during today's inspection as this is a school age program operating on a school campus. Children bring their own labeled water bottles both inside and outside. There was a functioning carbon monoxide detector.

A fire clearance was granted by Lincoln Fire Department on August 29, 2024, to utilize the library. This fire clearance is temporarily approved and will expire on September 30, 2024. Lincoln Fire Department will conduct a return inspection to confirm corrections were made and an updated approved fire clearance will be sent to LPA L. Habtom.

Based on the today's inspection, there were no deficiencies cited. Effective September 3, 2024, the library is approved to be used based on fire clearance guidelines and POD E is no longer a licensed room. This facility operates in POD K and the library. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and shall remain posted for 30 days. This report was reviewed with Site Supervisor, Kristina Fiffick.
