13 | On Monday, 02/14/2022 at 8:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Blesi conducted an unannounced inspection of the facility and met with Emily Balga to deliver findings and conclude the complaint investigation which was opened on 1/5/2022. Upon arrival, LPA observed 14 preschool children supervised by two staff. Also present was director Kaylin Mcoskey.
It was alleged that staff are not providing a healthful or safe environment for day care children when they allow sick children to attend the day care and sick children commingle with healthy children. During the investigation, LPA conducted observations of children and interviewed staff and pertinent parties. LPA observed Bright wheel communications from the school to parents and reviewed doctor’s notes indicating children were allowed to return to the center after illness. LPA also reviewed photos of children in care that appeared to have some signs of illness. Interviews revealed the facility conducts a daily inspection for illness as each child arrives, in addition to having parents complete a checklist ensuring that children with obvious signs of illness are not accepted into care.
