Licensing Program Analyst, Amanda Blesi met with owner Emily Balga for the purpose of an unannounced case management inspection. Licensee requests a decrease in capacity from 56 to 28 school age children. LPA received the approved fire clearance on 02/02/2022.

A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to school age children. There is one school age classroom: room #4. LPA is using the existing measurements which were taken during the pre-licensing inspection of 11/24/20. Classroom #4 contains a total of 1053.425 square feet, which will accommodate up to 30 children. There is one toilet and one urinal, and two sinks available to children, and a separate staff restroom is available.

LPA observed sufficient amount of furniture, toys, cubbies, and play equipment in the classrooms. There is one outdoor area on the property that will be shared between the school-age and preschool children. Licensee understands the school age children may not use the playground at the same time preschool children use the playground. The outdoor measurements were used from the pre-licensing inspection of 11/24/20. The outdoor play area contains a total of 6,517.139 square feet, which accommodates the requested capacity of 28.

Effective today, 02/14/2022, the decrease in capacity is approved for 28 school age children in room #4.

An exit interview was conducted and in the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were observed at the time of the inspection. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and should remain posted for 30 days for parental review.
