25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with Licensee Amber Bauer for the purpose of an unannounced case management inspection. Licensee has requested to increase from a small family childcare to a large family childcare. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Once preschool aged child was present during today’s inspection.
Health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas will remain the same, which are all rooms of the home, and the left side of the backyard. Licensee acknowledges that she must contact Community Care Licensing prior to making an off-limit area on limits and vice versa. A fire clearance was granted on November 21, 2022.
LPA discussed CCR Regulation 102416.5 regarding staffing Ratio and Capacity for a large license.
LPA discussed personnel requirements and records outlined in CCR Regulations 102416 and 102416.1.
LPA advised licensee that a lock must be placed on the spa alongside the locking devices on the side to ensure it is inaccessible to children in care. As it stands today, no water present in the spa. Licensee will send proof of the locking device to LPA.
Licensee understands that when an assistant is not present, they must comply with the capacity and ratio requirements for a Small Family Child Care Home.
Effective today, November 29th, 2022, the facility is approved for a large capacity to serve 12 children (when there is an assistant present) with no more than 4 infants or capacity of 14 children when 1 child in kindergarten or elementary school and 1 child at least age 6 and a maximum of 3 infants. Infants are children under the age of two years. |
