25 | On Friday, June 5, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lea Habtom met with assistant Aimee Cotton, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. LPA observed 10 napping children supervised by 2 staff. The facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The director, Golchin Casey, arrived at 1:55 pm to complete the inspection.
LPA toured all classroom spaces, restroom, and outdoor play area. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Earthquake Preparedness, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, menu, and seat belt law. Cleaning disinfectants, medications and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Facility Representative stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary and operating condition. The program provides AM and PM snack. The parents provide lunch.
LPA observed trash bins with tight fitted lids. Drinking water is readily available to children both indoors and outdoors by labeled water bottles. Facility Representative stated that children bring their own water bottles and are refilled at the facility. The facility uses an electronic application, brightwheel, for parents to sign children in and out. Facility last conducted a fire drill on October 14, 2025. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. There is sufficient equipment and toys, and there are shaded areas supplied by shade structures. Children take their water bottles outside.
One staff and five children's records were reviewed. Both children and staff files were observed to be incomplete. There was no staff member present with a CPR certificate. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector.
