LPA met with Interim Administrator (IAD) Damion Anderson and discussed the purpose of the visit and the elements of the allegations with IAD Anderson. Regarding the allegation "facility residents do not have hot water", it was alleged that memory care rooms #401, #402, and #403 have not had hot water for two (2) weeks and facility management has denied having any knowledge of this issue. Interview with IAD Anderson revealed the affected rooms are in the assisted living portion of the facility, not memory care. Anderson reported the tankless hot water heater which affects those rooms is not functioning and will require total replacement. Per Anderson, the residents in the affected rooms were offered a temporary move to another room but those offers were denied. Anderson stated in the interim, those residents are bathing in a vacant room until the water heater replacement has been completed. At 11:35 AM, LPA began measuring the hot water temperatures in rooms #401, #402, and #403. The hot water in room #401 measured 77.1 degrees Fahrenheit, in room (CONTINUED ON LIC 9099-C) |
