25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Martinez, conducted an unannounced visit to the facility to address a violation observed during the investigation of complaint #18-AS-20230831074101. The LPA met with Administrator, Morgan Williams, and informed her of the purpose for her visit.
Complaint #18-AS-20230831074101 alleged the facility overcharged Resident One (R1) in July 2023. During the investigation, the LPA reviewed R1's Admission Agreement to identify the agreed upon rate for care and services. The Admission Agreement was observed on file, though was incomplete; the document did not identify the rate the facility would charge R1. Due to the missing information, the complaint finding was unsubstantiated. R1 was admitted to the facility on June 05, 2023, prior to the establishment of the new management company.
This violation poses a potential threat to the personal rights of the resident in care. A citation will be issued. Additionally, a civil penalty will be issued due to the facility being cited for the same violation within 12 months.
An exit interview was conducted; this report was reviewed with Administrator Williams and a copy was provided along with the LIC 811, LIC 421, and instructions on appeal rights. |
