13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Torres, conducted an unannounced visit to the facility. The LPA met with Administrator, Kurt Niebres, and informed him of the purpose of her visit.
A report was received alleging facility staff, on or around February 25, 2022, failed to provide Resident One (R1) with a shower due to no hot water working in the building. The LPA observed, on March 11, 2022, the hot water temperature in three resident bedrooms to not be within regulatory limits. Staff interviews were conducted; one staff member reported providing R1 with showers during their work shift while another staff member reported having no knowledge of whether R1 needed assistance to shower. A statement could not be obtained from R1, due to the resident passing away. Therefore, due to a lack of information, this allegation is deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED at this time. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove the alleged violation occurred. This report was reviewed with Niebres and a copy was provided. |
