13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Torres, conducted an unannounced visit to the facility to initiate the investigation into the above allegation. The LPA met with Kurt Niebres, Administrator, and informed him of the purpose of the visit.
Pertaining to the allegation, "Facility staff sells resident medication," it was alleged Staff One (S1) sells resident medications to other residents in the facility. On this visit the LPA conducted staff/resident interviews, reviewed records and took copies of pertinent documentation. Administrator Niebres was interviewed and denied having knowledge of the allegation. S1 was interviewed and denied the allegation. Interviews provided no information that could corroborate or refute the legitamacy of the allegation. Therefore, due to a lack of information, this allegation is deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED at this time. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred. An exit interview was conducted; this report was reviewed with Niebres and a copy was provided. |
