25 | Due to COVID-19, On 02/25/2022 LPA Kay Phillips conducted a Case Management inspection to provide technical assistance. No classrooms were temporarily closed due to COVID 19, only to sanitize and disinfect. The exposed children in the classroom were in quarantine from the school per the advisement of the Public Health Department. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kay Phillips met with Director, Wendy Serna. A tour of the facility was conducted and a census was taken.
During the inspection, LPA reviewed and discussed COVID-19 guidelines, resources, and postings with director. COVID-19 information posters including hand-washing posters were observed in child care areas and bathroom. Upon arrival at the facility, LPA Phillips observed COVID 19 posters at the entrance and thought the facility. Hand sanitizer and face coverings are available in the main office for parents/students/staff. All staff were observed wearing face coverings. The children did not have on face coverings due to eating lunch; however, children were observed with face coverings on their persons. Facility standard is to place face coverings in the zip lock baggies, storing them in cubbies when not in use. Director stated she continues to encourage parents to prompt children to wear face coverings to remain in compliance and ensure the facility can remain open to service the community. The director was advised to follow the child care industry guidelines on face coverings, sanitation and other infection prevention measures.
