25 | On 11/08/2024 at 8:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tiffanie Diep met with Teacher (S1) Juana Morales for the purpose of an unannounced case management inspection to follow up on an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) submitted to the Department on 10/31/2024. LPA did not observe any day care children at the facility.
All individuals subject to a criminal record review have obtained a criminal record clearance. S1 was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of five days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA obtained supporting documentation pertinent to the incident and conducted an interview with staff during today's visit. It is determined there is insufficient information available at this time and further information regarding the incident needs to be obtained.
There were no deficiencies cited at this time. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the teacher, Juana Morales. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
