On July 1, 2024, at 9:35 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Anastasia Flores, conducted an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPA toured the inside and outside of the facility with Director, Maria Marquez, and the following was observed and/or noted:
· The following items were posted and updated where necessary:
- License
- Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610) and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC9148)
- Parent’s Rights Poster (PUB393)
- Personal Rights (LIC613A)
- Child Car Seat Law
- Menu
· The facility is operating within the limits as stated on the license.
· Ratios are being met during this inspection. Rm #1, 10 to one, Rm#3;six to one, Rm#4;six to one, Rm#10;six to one, Rm#9; seven to one, Rm#8;11 to two, Rm#7;10 to one, Rm#6;11 to one, Rm#5 &2 empty.
· Classrooms are adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment and free of hazards
· There are no weapons present at the facility as stated by Director Maria Marquez.
· There are no accessible bodies of water present. All wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position.
· Drinking water is provided in the indoor & outdoor activity space, with public drinking water, children bring personal sippy cups from home, and they are filled up daily. Children are also able to use the drinking fountains if needed.
· Medications are stored where inaccessible to children in the main office behind a locked box.
· Hazardous items are stored where inaccessible to children which include: Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous

·Poisons and toxins are locked and inaccessible to children
· All floors were observed to be safe and clean.
· Bathrooms were observed to be safe, sanitary and in operating condition
· Playgrounds are enclosed by appropriate fences and free of hazards
· Outdoor activity areas are supplied with age and size appropriate equipment in good condition
· All storage containers for solid waste were observed to have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair
· Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements
· Disaster drills are conducted at least every six months – last drill was conducted on 04/11/24 and 4/10/24.

A review of staff and children's records were conducted as part of this evaluation.
· Children’s records were found to be complete during this inspection.
· Staff record review indicates that all staff present meet minimum qualifications for the position for which they were hired.
· A staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 03/02/2025.
· Opening and closing staff member’s CPR/First Aid expires on 11/07/25.
· Director completed Health and Safety Training
· A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. Lead testing completed on 09/30/22, no lead detected.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of “medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.

There are no deficiencies being cited at this time.

During the exit interview, the Director, Maria Marquez, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report,TV9102A, and appeal rights was reviewed and provided to the director, Maria Marquez. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
