32 | Stairs are barricaded with a baby gate when children are in care. The fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children, and all hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children. The facility provides clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys for children.
No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Anna Negron, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations.
There is an in-ground pool located in the backyard. The pool is surrounded by mesh fencing 5 feet tall, with a self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lockable device facing inside. The fencing is less than 2 inches from the ground. A in water pool alarm was present Licensee had a 20 in life ring approved by the US Coast guard and a pole Licensee understands that ll bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools, spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar products must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position.
LPA observed that a daily pool inspection log is being completed on days of operation and all safety measures are in place before the facility opens.
Record Review:
A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation is maintained, with the last drill conducted on May 5th, 2025.
