25 | On 2/10/2023 at 12:20pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jeanette Sanchez and James Wilkerson arrived at the facility to conduct a case management/plan of correction inspection. On 12/22/2022, LPA Sanchez conducted an annual inspection, during which the pool fencing was discussed. Licensee had already taken measures for pool safety, however windows and door leading to the pool were not in compliance with Title 22 Regulations. Licensee chose to submit a waiver request. The waiver request was reviewed and subsequently denied by the Regional Manager on 1/18/2023. Licensee had a fence installed on 1/24/2023 and submitted pictures to LPA Sanchez.
LPAs toured the facility and took census. The fence is a 5ft mesh fence with door swinging open away from the pool. One end of the fence is attached to a previously installed white fence (separating the children's playyard and family backyard) and the other end is attached to the fence separating the homes. That fence sits on top of bricks, which has a smooth, slanted edge. Close inspection of that area shows that the edge does not provide enough space for climbing nor is there anywhere for children to brace themselves to pull themselves over the fence. The fence has been determined to abide by Title 22 Regulations.
An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with the licensee Mindy Roth. Appeal rights were discussed and provided during the exit interview.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
