25 | On the date and time listed, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nasha King arrived at the facility to conduct a Case Management-Incident follow-up visit on an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) received by the Department on August 10, 2022. The UIR is dated August 09, 2022. LPA met with Laura Martino (Assistant Director) to discuss the incident. A tour of the facility was granted, and census was conducted. It was reported that C1 tested positive for COVID-19 on August 09, 2022. C1’s last date on campus was Friday, August 5, 2022. C1 has not returned to the facility as of August 19, 2022. Facility staff has been in contact with C1's parents to receive updates on how C1 is doing.
During the visit LPA observed postings that were visible to the public and confirmed that precautionary measures have been implemented at the childcare center in response to COVID-19. Facility Staff continue to follow current guidance from the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC) and/or the California Department Public Health Department (CDPH). There are no further issues to report at this time.
LPA has determined that the facility staff took the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of the children in care by reporting the positive COVID-19 case to enrolled families, to the Public Health Department and to Community Care Licensing (CCL).
Based on the information gathered, there appears to be no violations of Title 22 Regulations found at this time, and therefore, there were no deficiencies cited during this inspection.
An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was provided to the Assistant Director, Laura Martino. Appeal Rights were discussed and issued, along with LIC 811 (Confidential Names List), and a Notice of Site (NOS) Visit. Licensee understands that it (NOS) must remain posted for 30 days.
