Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), conducted an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. This is a combination childcare center and the other licensed programs are: School Age and Infant Programs which were also inspected on this date 11/10/2022. A tour of the inside and outside of the facility was granted and the following was observed and/or noted: Present was the Assistant Director Ania Jones. The licensee Director arrived at approximately 9:20 AM.

Normal Days and Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, in 7 preschool classrooms.

The following items were posted and updated where necessary:
- License
- Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610) and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC9148)
- Parent’s Rights Poster (PUB393)
- Personal Rights (LIC613A)
- Child Car Seat Law
- Menu
· The facility is operating within the limits as stated on the license.
· Ratios are being met during this inspection. LPA took a census of 51 children supervised by 7 staff
· Classrooms are adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment and free of hazards.
· There are no weapons present at the facility as stated by Director K. Wanemacher.
· There are no accessible bodies of water present on 11/10/2022. All wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position.
· Drinking water is provided in the indoor activity space and in the outdoor activity space by type of water supply tap water, personal drinking cups and disposable dixie cups.

The facility has 4 water fountains on site that are working but not utilized at this time.
· Medications are stored where inaccessible to children and stored kitchen and teacher’s lounge.
· Hazardous items are stored where inaccessible to children which include: Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous in the kitchen and locked utility closet.
· Poisons and toxins are locked and inaccessible to children in a locked utility closet.
· All floors were observed to be clean and safe on 11/10/2022.
· Bathrooms were observed to be safe, sanitary and in operating condition on 11/10/2022.
· Playgrounds are enclosed by appropriate fences and free of hazards.
· Outdoor activity areas are supplied with age and size appropriate equipment in good condition. Artificial turf, natural grass and shade structure.
· Food preparation area is clean, free of litter and rubbish and free of rodents and other vermin that come to spray quarterly or more often when needed at the request of the agency.
· Food is stored appropriately and protected from contamination
· All storage containers for solid waste were observed to have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair on 11/10/2022.
· Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements. The facility utilizes the intel software program for parents to sign children in and out of the daycare. The facility also has a paper sign in/out log for back up.
· Disaster drills are conducted at least every six months – last drill conducted on 11/08/2022 with 3 staff and 5 children at 7:00 AM.

A review of staff and children's records were conducted as part of this evaluation.
· Children’s records were found to be complete during this inspection.
· Staff records review indicates that all staff present meet minimum qualifications for the position for which they were hired.
· A staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 12/2023
· Opening and closing staff member’s CPR/First Aid expires on 02/2023
· Director completed Health and Safety Training 09/08/2019, Lead 03/03/2022.
· A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions and mandated reporter AB1207 training verification on 11/10/2022.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. The following items were discussed with the Licensee/Director during inspection:


· Menus shall be posted at least one week in advance in a place visible by the child’s authorized representative, dated and kept on file for 30 days, and made available upon request.
· The areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment shall be cushioned with material that absorbs a fall.
· The Licensee was informed of their reporting requirements and provided with the Regional Office’s Unusual Incident Reporting email mailbox: UnusualIncidentReportsDO10@dss.ca.gov
· The Licensee can submit transfer forms to associate new individuals or to disassociate someone from your facility at: Associations_Disassociations858@dss.ca.gov

LPA Susan Brewer, discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee Director Katrina Wanemacher and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Licensee Director Katrina Wanemacher was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

The licensee director Katrina Wanemacher was asked to update the following documents, if applicable, and submit to licensing within 30 days:
1. LIC 309 Administrative Organization AND LIC215 for changes in administration.
2. LIC 308 Designation of Administrative Responsibility (only if changes have been made& current designation is on file)
3. LIC200 with updated information.
4. Board resolution and minutes.

An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with the licensee Director Katrina Wanemacher.

Appeal rights were discussed and provided during the exit interview.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
