25 | On 10/24/2024 at 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tiffanie Diep met with Director Kimberly Banks for the purpose of an unannounced case management inspection to follow up on an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) submitted to the Department on 10/17/2024. The incident was reported by the facility within the required timeframe. Upon entry into the facility, there were no day care children present. At 1:30 PM, a staff member (S2) arrived to the facility. At 2:00 PM, another staff member (S3) arrived to the facility. At 2:24 PM, LPA observed S2 leave the facility to pick up day care children at the elementary school located on the premises. At 2:34 PM, LPA observed S2 return to the facility with 26 children.
All individuals subject to a criminal record review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of five days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
