25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sandra Pulido conducted an unannounced annual inspection for a large family childcare at the above home on 4/10/25 at 9:20 AM. LPA met with Licensee Rebecca Barrera, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. There was 1 child present with Assistant Cesar Chavez when LPA arrived; Licensee arrived shortly after and a second child arrived during inspection.
The facility operates Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM each day. Certain areas are off-limits, including the entire second floor and attached garage. A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed in the hallway closet, last inspected 3/11/24. A functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were observed, both of which were tested by the Licensee. The fireplace is properly screened with a gate to prevent access by children, and all hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children in the upstairs, off-limits, laundry room. No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Rebecca Barrera, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations. Stairs are barricaded with a baby gate when children are in care.
The facility provides clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s
