13 | On July 17,2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lorena Valenzuela met with Licensee, Elsa Barrera to deliver the findings of the above allegations.
On May 23, 2024, LPA Jeanette Sanchez conducted a health and safety inspection of the facility, and no immediate concerns were noted. An additional follow up visit was conducted by LPA Lorena Valenzuela on June 5, 2024. LPA L Valenzuela conducted the investigation which included interviews conducted with licensee, assistant, two parents/authorized representatives. Copies of children’s roster and other facility documents were obtained.
On May 14, 2024, the Department received the allegation that licensee did not prevent day-care children from engaging in inappropriate interactions and did not prevent day care child from hitting another child in care.
Confidential interviews revealed Child 1 was hitting Child 2 while in the day care home. Additional information received indicated C1 was touching C2’s private areas while in care. Interviews revealed the children are always under visual supervision while in care. |
